I've been working on the art gallery and have made some progress. Though I guess it wouldn't take so long if I didn't ask for permission, but Jacob has "put his foot down" (his words, not mine) and told me that we'll not be putting up any pics by artists who haven't given their permission. *grumbles* Anyhoo, go take a look! <A HREF="http://www.wotism.net/art">Wotism Art</A>

<BR>Ok, I've been up way to long and this is turning into a rambling post. Which reminds me that I haven't posted properly in the last day or 2. Blah, I can't seem to work on the site and post on the forum. It's one or the other, cause I can't do both without messing stuff up. lol Hmm...I am rambling now so, too much of a sleepy Jean to do anything else. <BR>I actualy have alot of pics coming up and I've been playing around with textures as well. Anyway, I like that one artist that's site has anime versions of the charecters, very original and good looking.

You were going to put up people's pictures without asking them? That isn't nice... I agree with Jacob here.

Btw, Jean, you should have my songs online... I know I'm always saying I'll make better versions, but I never get around to it. You couldn't use the ones on the original wotism site, though? Or maybe not - I don't think they're the downloadable form.

We don't put anything up without asking first :)

And if you have some stuff to show the world, just send it to us. If we haven't got a section for it, we might just as well create one. Art isn't just great pictures. It's much more and we welcome every submission :)

Not so much that as, some ppl are very bad and don't answer emails or change their emails and then you CAN'T ask! GRRR at them, but I've found bunches anyway. lol I set my goal of 20 artists and am at 19 now. So now I'm sitting and staring at them trying to think of a blurb to write beside each artist...and can't think of a thing. :(

Anyhoo, I'd love to have your songs Elin! Maybe Nato can download them from his server or something.

yeah, that can definitly be done. Actually, I should still have them on a computer somewhere. I can give them to you in realaudio format, or, if that doesn't suit you, I can give them to you in .wav format and you can do w/ them as you will.

That would be great! Umm...I guess we can try realaudio and see how that works. If the files are sort of big, you can email them to my ISP email... I'll send that email address to you because I don't want it picked up for spam, that's what hotmail and yahoo are for. lol

Maybe let the artist fill that space with a little something? And while they're at it, maybe even a little something below each of their pics? I'd like that, a little comment from the artist about their creations :)

And as for real audio, I don't think we can deliver streaming content. Well, we could, but that would cost a bundle, and right now I do not want to put pressure on my wallet any more. It's pretty stressed out already, hehe.
Too bad, I like the idea of wotism.net going multimedia :D

Still regular .au will do. Wav is pretty big in size, but mp3 maybe?! :)

well, I have them in .wav format and in .ra format. I'd say .mp3 would probably be a good choice as to what you actually want on the site...if I just give you the .wavs you could mp3ize them yourself...I mean, I could do it, but in my incredible laziness it'd take me a lot longer. Unless you have some objection to that.

and anyway, mike, the capability to do realaudio isn't that important. I wouldn't consider it to be as exciting as it once was, especially since I think windows media is better quality for video and can be streamed, and mp3 is good for sound and it can be streamed.

And right now I'm all out of sound stuff at home. My own pc doesn't have a soundcard. I hardly ever switched the sound on, so when I bought this one I didn't put one in. Now I miss it...
And my old computer is seriously messed up. It produces no sound at all, to name one of the symptoms :(
Besides, I don't have time right now, so I can't help with sound stuff.

Right now I'm not adding any new artists, we've got 21 so far and I need to go back and put all the little details in. Jacob and I have been working on that when we get a chance. Plus, I'm trying to make a new icon for us, something non-Tor/RJ copyrighted. lol The first attempt is up now, but I drew a new dragon last night and finally finished coloring it in PSP, so we might decide to put that up instead. :)
