Hi everyone! Alright I consider myself a decent artist for being a child, but I'm lowsy at drawing poeple with out looking at a picture and drwaing it. So it would be awesome if you people can tell me websites, books, and any other resources that would help me draw people. Thanks!!

Also I would like to paint but I have never attempted it. My grandma paints and she's given me some tips but she is not exactly the best:rolleyes: Anyways resources, websites, books, and anything else that helped you. Thanks!:D

On the drawing, I do well as long as I have a reference...well, I say well, I am fair at it. I've not been able to figure out how to draw without something to look at either. My other problem is hands. I think that my problem is being so analytical because just naturally look weird anyway if you look at them. But, the advice I was given was to draw all of the time and to draw in pen because you can't erase and you will begin to force yourself to draw better

On another note and not to steal your thread but, does anyone have advice on drawing in Photoshop? I understand the logistics of Line Art but I've seen some amazing work done just on the computer, thanks in advance.

1. One of the things you need to know about posting here is, thread Necro-ing is bad, so please check the date of the last few posts to make sure the thread isn't fairly old (older then one or two months is two old) in this case it's more then a year old.

2. In regards to Photoshop it really matters what you want to draw, if you're looking to make something specific, I recommend googling it if you're looking for something fairly strenuous or difficult :) Other then that all I can say is keep your mouse straight ;)

I apologize for using resurrect +2 on this post. I did have some of the same questions though and figured it better than making a new thread. As for the Photoshop, I am just thinking of pictures of people, like from the books. So you think I should use a real picture as a base to get the outline and color it how I'd like?

World of WoT is really your best source for drawing WoT's characters is probably in Robert Jordan's Guide to the Wheel of Time or The World of the Wheel of Time or however it's titled. Or looking for descriptions from the books, and using ur own imagination probably using similar looking real life people. :) That's really the one problem about trying to draw art from a book like this, no pictures :P
Hoped that helped, and no one would have minded you starting your own thread, no one would have noticed a thread this old. LOL. We're not that anal retentive that we look back through pages of threads and go OMG THIS TOPIC ABOUT ART QUESTIONS HAS BEEN POSTED BEFORE :P

I find it easy if you first go lightly on pencil and make a stickfigure form of the person you are drawing first to make sure the porportions are good, then add in the base of the person and erase the stick figure, then add in details with pen
