Server Outage

As you've probably noticed we had a LONG server outage starting at 12AM Saturday night. The server we use was actually moving to a new facility )something to do with some shady legal stuff) and didn't send out word until after the move started. I have the sneaking suspension this was to keep their customers for moving off their servers to a new company. They promised no more than 4-6 hours of downtime, but of course, that turned into more than a day. :dozey:

What does this mean for us? Well, we going to move to my linux server and get a nice fat refund. :D I've been putting this off because it's a pain to move servers, but hopefully the server will be speeder.

Hey, here's a question I don't know the answer to, who pays for the hosting of this site? There's no banners or ads, so it has to come from someone's pocket. And I want to thank them!

very scary, got a message from lena saying she couldn't acess it then nothing for more than a day, no wotism! I almost had to talk to a shrink for withdrawl.

Guess that would be me Jacob. :blush: I take care of the server and Jacob takes care of the forum software lease.

Ad banners and pop up ads are evil and will never be on wotism!! Especially pop up ads. :grumbles:
