For any Janny Wurts fans, her publisher has posted this on Janny's website, asking for feedback from her fans about To Ride Hell's Chasm US edition.

Hey all!

Stephen Pagel, from Meisha Merlin here...

I'm at Janny's working with her on a sales and marketing game plan for TO RIDE HELL's CHASM. Decided to drop in here and see if any of you have any ideas or special things that you would like to see us do.

First off, where do you buy your books, especially Janny's titles?

Second, for those of you who have read it, what angle do you think we should take for the cover copy/dust jacket text?

Thirdly, in one line describe TO RIDE HELL'S CHASM???

Here at Meisha Merlin we try and go outside the box looking for ways to sell and promote our titles. After talking to Janny for a while, I decided to drop in here to talk to her fans and see your take on all this. After all you are the ones buying her titles and actually probably know best how to get others like yourselves to buy TO RIDE HELL'S CHASM.

Thanks for any ideas that you can come up with. Not having the multi-millions of $$$ that the major houses have we have to compensate with brillant, yet down to Earth concepts.

If you don't feel like replying here in public, please send your response to my assistant Lynn at Lynn@MeishaMerlin.com

Later,
Stephe

Ok I have a slight problem with the name of this thread. I don't read Janny Wurts so when i saw this thread I thought you were saying that Janny Wurts was going to ride Hell's Chasm. Now I've never heard of any Hell's Chasm before but you must admit the idea of someone riding something called that is quite intriguing. So I open up this thread and low and behold it is a darn book by an author I don't know. I am so let down. Maybe I should go to the library more.

ROTFL! Umm...now that you mention it, that title is a little misleading. :D This is part of a pact I made with myself to post one bit of fantasy news each day. *nods*

Oh, and I know Janny Wurts from The Empire Series she wrote with Raymond E. Feist. And there's your random fact for the day. lol

One other thing, she also does her the cover art for her books. I just think that's kinda nifty. :)
