Lord, all this talk of rj and I suddenly remember one day when I met him. It was at a Writer's Festival and he was doing a reading from wot (of course). Back then I hadn't really read his books. I had sifted through a few pages here and there..heh *makes the sign of the cross*. My brother was a HUGE fan and I knew I had to get an autograph for him or he would slice me in a thousand pieces.
So, get this *starts laughing* I rip of a crumpled piece of paper that I had been doodling on, scribbled off the unwanted writing and walked up to him and said something like, 'Hey, how'z it going? Really like your books. Can I please get a signature for my brother?' *starts laughing harder* THEN I say, 'Coz you're the reason my brother stays up at nights. Better than any girl has done, buddy'. LMFAO!
Looking back now, I'm absolutely appalled! I mean, here is the great and distinguished Robert Jordan, he sees a girl hand him a rather disgusting piece of paper with but the barest of space to write his name, then she says THAT. He probarly left that day wondering what on earth he did to warrant such a display of...blah! Don't know the word! RJ! If you ever read this...sorry! You're the best! Lurv ya!
