Thanks to Knarfling, we have a chat just like the old wotism.org chat. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif"> I was so happy to get his email with that chat already done for me! Sooo, now we have a permanent, REAL wotism chat.

Hmm....mayhap we should schedule some first chat or something, just to get it started or something? I'd think that with the number of members we have at this moment, it'd take a darn bunch of luck to actually stumble in at the same time as anyone else is there...

I agree, I'm loged in now an I was lucky enough to find 3 other people. I think we should scheduale rough times like we used to on .org. I don't know Friday and Saturday nights starting at 8 or 9pm something like that and then we need to get the word out, most likly with one of those nifty email updates.

Hey BF, what time zone you in? Cause i go to chat almost everyday as well, but if you go in my "sleep time" and i go in yours well then...there's your answer...

Anyway, on the general board I'm going to revive the Wotism Chat thread (it's there somewhere) and just post saying when i've gone there (to chatroom)and edit it to say when i'm leaving...simple and effective...not wasteful (hey it's already a thread), and it's smart!

I think it's GMT + 8.00 according to my PC (not sure what that means).

it would mean you're in westren North America. So no, most of us are from NA. you'll only be sleeping when those Europeans are on here.

Ummmm, FDM, I've been thinking about this whole timezone thing and you've got it backwards. Pacific time would be -8 hours from GMT. 'Cause i'm 8 hours behind england time....

That would mean that you're at +1 hour GMT.

+8 hours would put Balefire in, like, East Asia or something.... Maybe Australia....

So yah, Balefire, you'll be asleep when most of us are awake...

There was once (when i wasn't around yet) a mention of a rough time for the chat. But it never got further then ... then nothing, so when? tell me :p :D


ps Mike, since u program the stuff on wotism (am i right?) can u fix the freaking lag in the chat? maybe is a chat(box) outside the wotism server a lot lesser laggy? (damn my english sux :p)

Hey, mystery solved! I had been wondering who it was from "that asian country" it was that were visting us! Now I know :-)

I don't know the why of the lag, Mithrandir. Maybe it's not the best chat script we use. It's tricky as hell to customize, I know that. I would think that our server should be more than capable of handling the load and our bandwidth more than sufficient ~shrugs~ We're really not that enthusiastic about using an outside source to provide chat though. We like to keep controll of our content outside sources do tend to include banners etc.
