I was in the chat room with Solmyre, Gergy and Aragorn and Gerg mention this little bit I wrote on another board.
Ok... now you've asked for it!! Yeah most of you know me by now, so I figured I'd give ya'll a brief history of time..errr.. my life.
I was born Simon Boyle in South Shields, England on November 13th 1975. My parents where not married and did not get married until I was 5 years old. My name then changed to Simon Tracey.
When I was 6 years old my dad joined the British Army and we moved to Germany. I went to military schools in Germany my whole life and loved every single minute of it. School was always fun and in some way I miss it.
We moved about every single year for the next 10 years of my life, sometimes twice a year. I certainly had a different childhood to most, dealing with Terrorists from 6 years old. While at school we would get frequent IRA warnings against our school and my best friends dad was shot outside of his home when I was 12. I lived two doors down and had just been around there playing.
At the age of 16 I graduated school (thats when we graduate in the UK) and went to Drama College in North Shields, England. I lasted a whole 3 months and decided that I needed to get out of school and get a job.
I worked as a waiter in a top hotel for about 8 months and then decided to join the British Army.
I started basic training on January 22nd 1994. After 15 weeks of sheer hell I passed out as a soldier in the Royal Logistic Corp.
My military career lasted until 2000 and during that time I served in England, Germany, Kosovo, Bosnia and Northern Ireland. I've seen and done things most people only read about or see in movies. I'll add more if people are interested.
In 1997 I was posted to the British Army Training Unit Suffield, located about 50kms west of Medicine Hat, Alberta. I fell in love with Canada and knew that I wanted to stay here. I also met my wife (Julie) through a friend and the rest is history. We where married on September 4th 1999... the single happiest day of my life.
I decided to leave the Army and move to Canada perminantly and applied for my Immigration in 2000 and it came through in 2001. I've been here ever since and will live here until the day I die... I love Canada and will become a Canadian Citizen in 2004.
We have one child, Thomas, who is 5 months old and is the most amazing person I know. He really is the light of my life. I have 3 cats (Bubba, Pip and Roker). My sports teams all suck my wife laughs at me frequently about it.
I work as an ATM/PC Tech and also maintain our company website www.efbusiness.com. I actually have a job I enjoy and a life I REALLY enjoy.
So thats me..... I'm ALWAYS on either ICQ, Yahoo, AIM or MSN using Trillian.
