the first one is the best. It gets pretty heavy going after that, strange and dense. But intriguing in places, so it depends how much time you have :o)

I watched the old film last night, it was on TV. I thought it was pretty good, even if the graphics were kinda crappy.

The new film looks cool too. I may read it when I finally finish WOT.

Totally agree. I missed the original characters reading book 3 and the rest. Who cares about That giant human-faced worm.
I think "House Atreides" and the rest are pretty cool.

I liked the series..even the prequels by Herbert's son were pretty good. It's getting a little ridiculous though, because Herbert's son is now putting out a trilogy of prequels for the prequels. IMHO, Dune, Dune Messiah and Children of Dune are the best. The sci-fi miniseries were good too
