Kiki's delivery service was a pretty fun movie... but i lost the video. it was fun besides for that fact that it was so fake. but that's ok.

The first anime movie I ever saw was Vampire Hunter D. I don't know if anyone would consider it the best, but it is one of my favorites. :cool:

THe best anime movie ever is probably 3X3 eyes.... even though it could be a 7 part series, but calling it a movie is more apropriate... i mean just because miyazaki has gotten so much coverage in america doesnt mean hes the best, just that he knows how to deal with americans

Sorry I was a bit slow earlier in this thread with the Akira hing but it is the greatest.
Princess Mononoke is great in a different kind of way if you know what I mean. Its not really cool like Akira and Ninja Scroll but is...ummmm...just different really.

Anyone scene X? It is definately one of the best. Street Fighter the movie is also great.

I think the worst one I've seen is probably Violence Jack.

X is in japenese, the others were dubbed (badly). Anime is japenese animation, it doesn't have to be in japenese speaking though I do prefer when it is. Street Fighter the first time I saw it It was in japenese but the english version was just as good. Spirited Away hasn't come out yet but it does look excellent, though none of my mates want to see it and my gf thinks it looks silly. I wish they would understand.

Anyone seen Urotsukidoji, now that was fukced. Sick, perverted yet extremely amusing.

oh, my ex boyfriend went to japan last summer and brought back many anime movies, actually in japanese (which he can speak) not sure the names cuz they're all in japanese, but, some really good animation, :confirming nod:


edit: oh, and the animatrix had some good shorts on it. some with great animation, and its the matrix, so what's not to love? :D

:rolleyes: I don't laugh, rather I pity those who see anime that has been dubbed. They never seem to get it right, whether it's the voices they use - those damn kids voices for people who are supposedly adults or they don't sync up right.

Dont' get so worked up, while NS was ok, it was nothing to lose sleep over. A better ninja flick would be the Kenshin OVA's.

And I'm going to ignore your last statement about vandread.

I was ignoring it because it's purely opinion, you didn't give any facts as to why it's "the best" Also I wonder how much anime you have seen to make such a blanket statement such as that.
