Im a new member and just finished the first book and am 100 pages into the second. I have a couple of questions if anyone wants to answer them.
What is the Eye of the World, i mean really. What is it's purpose?
What happened to Balzamon. I dont get that last part at all.
Is andor the entire kingdom of TWOT like middle earth is to LOTR, or is it just a country?
What does the queen of Camelyn rule and why is she worshipped all the way to white bridge. Is she queen of the world or something?

I have more questions but I just cant remember them now...

The Eye of the World was a well of pure, untainted Saidin to be used by the Dragon Reborn.

Andor's just a country. There are many more. And it is the biggest in area, which is why she rules all the way to the White Bridge. And the Two Rivers as well, technically.

I want someone to talk about the Eye of the World, because I read a post a while ago where someone thought it just being there for Rand to use up wasn't it's real purpose. but I totally think that was purpose enough!! giving Rand a pure well of saidin to draw from was probably one of the most important weapons he could have had at that point in time!! the taint would have wrecked him so early on. so I think it was made because of prophecy to ensure the Dark One didn't get a finger-hold on Rand until he experienced what it was like to channel.

I think the Eye also contained LTT essense (Gelflings!). Right after Rand used it he seemed to be experiencing things for the 1st time. (i.e., very clumsey-like a baby, not recognizing people).

The Eye did not contain the Essense of LTT.

LTT is Rand and vise versa. It is the same soul reborn. That is why Rand starts to hear LTT.

I find it odd that Rand didn't hear LTT until afterwards. He did channel a couple of times before that and no LTT.

It's probably just me looking for more than just a pool of clean saiden.

Do you think the shock of channeling all that power is what awoken LTT?

maybe, or maybe the Taint broke barriers in Rand's Soul.

The Saiden contained in the Eye was clean. Oh well, here's hoping RJ goes into more detail at what happened at the Eye.

Rand doesn't start hearing voices until after he has Declared himself the Dragon Reborn. Either the Taint wore down some barrier or Declaring himself did. That's my opinion.

I could see Declaring himself TDR activating LTT. Good point.
