I know I will get burned for this, but I must say it.

I still dont whole heartedly believe Cyndane is Lanfear.. All the proof is there --fine, but why oh why would you do this to us RJ??

I believe Lanfear was an awesome villain. Basic, yet awesome emotions of love and hate drove her character. That made her character the best developed in the series.. Whenever she showed up, I had the erge to huddle in a corner with my blanky:rolleyes:

Seriously though, do you guys agree that she was cool character, if not I wanna know why?

Also any of you that 100% surely believe she is Cyndane now, do you guys think she stinks now?? ..I do.. I want the old Lanfear back...

~sigh~~

I liked the imposing, tall, dark-haired evil Lanfear. But I think a shorter, hot-tempered, silvered-haired Forsaken presents a pretty nice mental picture as well.

Not that I beleive this, and there is probably more proof to the contrary, but....

Alot of people seem to think that Moraigne ?sp? is a darkfriend.

I didn't say I was one of those people,

But her last name is so simmilar to one of the forsaken's nicknames (they may even be spelled the same, I can't remember) that it never approaches being funny.

Lamen was part of her family, probably a dupe, but still a shady character.

Similar situation as with Verin, why does she do what she does?

She is short, just slightly overbearing, cold temper, one of the strongest of the normal AS.

Maybe the reason LF was brought back as Cyndaine, was simply a really mean joke by RJ to get these Moraigne, the covert darkfriend people's hopes up and crush them utterly by bringing in that "But we could have matched the Creator" bit.

Maybe not, I don't know. But it seems that RJ is trying harder and harder to mess with our minds, and not just in hiding plot twists, but by perposely being confusing and obnoctious!!!!

@#$%$$%%$%$##%%^^$#!!!

And as steam slowly boils out, I start to feel just a little bit better, and realize, I don't realy care.

Anyway Mor. isn't a darkfriend, Cyndaine is a joke, Lanfear was cool up until the point that she became a raving bisnizzach (hag might be a better word, albeit a fine hag, but raving bisnizzach seems to fit the situation much better). And hopefully someone will kill Cyndaine by accident in some inconcequential manner so people will have to disect every third sentence in the series to find some symbolic clue as to who actualy did her in (and thats if they realy care).

It's abit like magic, isn't it? The kind you see on performed by Siegfried and Roy, I mean. Once you know how they do some of the tricks, it's not the same anymore. In the beginning, the Forsaken were all these almost Omnipotent Evil Guys and Girls. Now the veil is dropped and what we see now are human characters corrupted by evil. Not as interesting? I think so. They are not as mysterious anymore though. Before we didn't know anything about the characters or how they thought and I know I atleast wondered about that. I guess it's like food being more appealing when you're hungry than when you are full. But there is always room for desert.

I used to have this fancy that somehow, Lanfear would reject being a Forsaken, reject the Dark and die in the last battle fighting the shadow. Somehow, I don't see that as likely to happen now. But Lanfear/Cydane is still a wildcard and I do not think that we really know her now, I think that along the way she will still surprise us.

Lanfear as a good "guy" could have been posssible. I don't remember (read seat of the pants theory) that she actually did anything EVIL (worse than just bad) after waking up before the dock scene with Moraigne. Up to that point she had helped Rand as much or more than any other character.

Cyndane...

She's been rejected openly buy a guy she worshiped, and not only that, he's "cheating" on her (by her perspective) with three women.

If my girlfriend were cheating on me with three other guys at the same time, I might not run too quickly to help her out.

That doesn't make me a bad person, does it?

Confusing??? Obnoctious???? RJ?????

Did I say that? Demons must have been talking through my mouth. Why would I say something that.......

Well, just before the dock scene, she skinned a guy, and before that she was seen in Tel'aran'rhiod killing some-one and giving orders to others. Just because we don't see things, doesn't mean that they are not evil. Look at Demandred, according to that, he is the epitome of good, as he hasn't done anything we know about, or Graendal, or Sammael, or Be'lal, or Mesaana (apart from questioning Alviarin) or Rahvin really.

I think we knew Lanfear's character the most out of all the forsaken. We knew what her goals were

power
LTT

My favorite part with her is when she talks to rand when he is fight asmodean and she says that ith those sangeal se would challenge the dark one... she had the most basic emotions plain and simple... LOVE and HATE. that is why she became a forsaken in the first place... What little we were exposed to lanfear was enough for us...er...or at least me to recognize her as an awesome character/badguy(gal).

Even if she forsook the forsaken and the darkone to join up with rand...she would never imo be a "good"guy.
