dude, for the record w3 bete is the beta version of warcraft 3

Warcraft --It's a classic pc game from years back. The 3rd one is coming out soon and they chose me along with about 5000 others to be in a closed beta test

Okay BW, as long as you're happy about it :-) I haven't really played any games since the day's of Syndicate, X-com, Simcity2000 and games like that myself though, so I don't really know the game you're talking about. Hmm....just how "classic" is this warcraft anyway? I mean, I DID play computer games once, but I've never heard of that one and I'm not THAT old!

the original warcraft must of came out on the pc around 1992??
I never played the original, Im not that old either. The second one came out around 95 or so me thinks. It's like an all time classic. Im sure you heard of the company that made that game.

This company made one game after another, eacher better than the one before it, so to speak.
Some of the later ones you are sure to know... Diablo 1, Starcraft, Diablo 2, not to mention the expansions for each. Warcraft was what made the company famous and respected for it's awesome games in the first place.

Yes I am very happy and am in love with it, concidering I dont game as much as I used to.

I haven't really played that much since Wolfenstein came out to start that type of game Era. (Wolfenstein was the first, I believe). All those games made me dizzy, messing my balance with all that 3-D.

Classic game manufacturer: Ever heard of Sierra? THAT's a classic, with Games such as Kings Quest (1-6 as I remember), Police Quest, Space Quest, Leisure Suit Larry etc, etc....
Another game favorit that I forgot is Railroad Tycoon. Gosh, I did spend hours and hours on that one. I haven't really played since High School though. I've heard of Diablo, but the company doesn't really ring a bell, or if it does, it's a faint sound from far off. I miss the classics though and I miss the games of the Amiga500 Era :(

Come on Buckweet, you forgot to mention the major flaws of Blizzard, they announce when they're gonna release a game and then don't release it for 2 years after the original release date.(hence the game is better)

BTW, Jacob, Wolfenstein is what people call a first person shooter now-a-days. Warcraft/Starcraft are strategy games where u build armies/military bases and try to destroy your enemy's armies/military bases. Diablo and Diablo 2 are "RPGs" though not in the sense of regular RPGs like the Final Fantasys, but more like Legend of Zelda RPGs.

bah, I remember playing Kings Quest 2(when it first came out) granted I was not really playing (being 3 and all) but I was sitting there by my fathers side watching the next screen load up. First KQ game I played by myself was KQ5 and beat it all the way through with no help (damned desert).

Anybody remember monkey island 1? those swordfights were fun, acquiring new insults and all :-) took me 3 tries to defeat the swordmaster at age 7.

.......good ole' Warcraft 1, couldn't select more than 6 characters, man that was annoying. It was about the hardest game ever. Wolfenstien was great, although has anyone seen Return to Castle Wolfenstein? It look amazing, but a bit crap at the same time.

I played the new wolfenstein, and was quite satisfied with what it had to offer. Nothing really special, but neither was it disappointing.

On the subject of games...Max Payne rules, Diablo 2 has been corrupted just like Diablo 1 online with hackers and such, I can't wait til Heroes of Might and Magic IV comes out in March, Tribes was IMHO one of the best online games ever, half-life kicked, and everquest sucks.

I've got Heroes of Might and Magic II and I love it so much. The game that I'm looking for is the Ultima Series, as I had all of them, but I let my 'friend' borrow them, and he sold them.

I love Ultima VII (all 4 parts) and Ultima Underworld II is almost the best game ever.

Well i don't remember what it was called other than "castle" It was a little dos game (black and white) and it was pretty cool. Though even on a 286, the thing ran too fast and such the monsters/ghosts would move at light speed (think frogger on acid) and would kill you right away when you entered a room.

As to the "borrow"ing of your game and then selling it...he sure sounds like some "friend" to me...

Yeah, I haven't seen him in a few years, but if I do...........

The game I'm thinking of is completely different, so never mind, mine was a windows 3.1 game. I only ever had it on shareware. Damn shareware, so tempting, yet so expensive, Everytime I got somewhere in a game, I was greeted with a sign saying "For only $49.99 you can actually own this game".

Does anyone remember "One must Fall"? It was a Mortal Kombat type thing but with giant robots that you could customise, As far as I can remember, it was the best game ever.

wow... I forgot about king's quest....lol I remember playing it so loooong ago... and Space quest...I used to watch my friend play it...roflmao @ thermal underwear and the polevault heheehee

My mom wasnt to happy with me playing the earlier larry games, with all the porn music and the hokers eating banana splits and the mud wrestling...ahhh the good ol' days.

I never played monkey island 1, although I vaguely remembermy neighbor's brother play it a lot. I did play Monkey Island 2 thouhg, lots of stup jokes... ehh

the oldest pc game would have to be shogun, that was a game on one old school floppy(5 1/2) through DOS...wow I feel old.

I like strategy, realtime(warcraft) or turn based. Heroes 2 was slammin' and 3 was even better...I too can not wait till the 4th one comes out.

Real war is another real time strategy that is fun but only when I play someone else, the AI sucks in that one.
