Riddle me this Batman

Riddle:


I have the following:

1) A head of lettuce
2) A rabbit
3) A wolf

How can I take them across the river if I can only take one thing at a time. Mind you that the wolf eats the rabbit which eats lettuce. I want all three intact. How do I accomplish this?

I have a dresser with 10 pairs of socks. 5 of which are blue and 5 of which are black. If I have to get up in the morning before sunrise and the :umm: power is out. How many socks would I need to grab before Im absolutely sure I get a correct match? Mind you--in the dark I cant tell the difference between the two colors.
