Well, on November 1 there's going to be an upgrade, meaning chat might, and probable will be offline for a short period. That's going to happen late at night EST, which is umm, somewhere in the morning GMT time.

And no, no exact time is given

Mike, in case you don't get my PM, i'm trying to get into chat right now and can't......can other people online right now get in, is it just me?

Anyway, i also noticed that it says that i'm in there on the list, so i don't know what's going on. If you are talking to me, i can't see anything.

Oh! I also just noticed (it's light gray letters on a darker gray page) that it says at the top of where chat should be...

"We're sorry. This chat room may not be accessed from this page."

And that's word for word....and as far as I know the only message.

There are some issues with chat :(
But people are working on it. Just hang in there for now.

It does that by itself. *shurgs*

As for the other problems, clear out your Temporary Internet Files or cache. Make sure you close ALL browser windows you have open, and restart.

Now start chat again. If you still can't see smilies or hear sounds, or see the wotism logo, hit "Refresh" or press F5. If that didn't help, hold down Shift and click Refresh. You might have to do a click or two.

Installing a newer java version will also help, as the new version will re-initiate the cache.
