Watchmen

Did anybody read this twelve-issue comic book series? It is the BEST EVER. I suggest any fans of comics or of good stories to buy at least the graphic novel edition and READ IT.

Good one Ara, there are some excellent comic series. If you liked Watchmen, check out Marvels, and Kingdom Come. Both are excellent, and it isn't required to have read anything before hand. V for Vendetta is also a great comic, it has been collected in graphic novel format too, so you only have to get the one book. It isn't about super heroes, so flip through it before you buy it if that is your shtick.

And finally for the best two of the litter, find yourself a copy of "Batman: The Long Halloween" and "From Hell". THL is the best you can find when it comes to the Dark Knight, and FH is just the best all around.

Yes, the Watchmen is a great comic series. Now if they would just hurry up with the movie.

I wouldn't hold my breath on a Watchmen movie. The rights have passed so many times, and they have had at least three false starts on making this thing, Hollywood has soured to it. IT'll take a big named actor to get this thing back into action. At one time, Time Warner had the rights, then they passed to Sony, and now I believe Miramax has them. Since Time Warner owns DC Comics, they don't want anybody but them to make the movie, so there will be a lot of litigation once Miramax redlights the project.

Since the first rumors that this would be made into a film were at least ten years ago, I'd give it another ten before it does get filmed. They will probably make another 2 Batman or Superman films first.
