I just wondered if you liked this pic I did, its not WOT related. I did it on Bryce 2 (cos it was free). It's also a bit blurred as I had to turn it into a JPEG to make it small enough to fit.
That's very good stuff Theoban :)
Do you have the original sized jpeg? This one is indeed a bit blurred, which is a shame.
On another note, since we are a community of Wotists, should we perhaps start Art Galleries and such that are not necessarily WoT related, but just, umm, Wotist related, so to speak?
I think we should...

It was originally a BMP, and it was 1407KB and 800 x 600, so it was a bit large. But I have lots more where that came from. Heres one for Star Trek fans.
OOOH!

This one is me messing with what I can do, with light sources and reflections and clouds etc. I think it looks alright though.

OK it's been a while since I put anything up mainly because some idiot (me) formatted his entire hard drive. I lost everything. This is one I did recently messing with skies and light sources etc. Apparently aliens don't have any trees so they're nicking one of ours or something. Here you go.

Alright, I just finished this one. I wanted a more organic feel and it ended up being weird with an organic feel. Make your own minds about what's going on here. I don't know.

Dude, I don't know what's going on, but I definitely like the brain teaser :)

look's cool but when you turn it 180 degrees and add some nice air features you have a really cool weird organic base

I like it, and you know I like Mith's suggestions to improve it just as much. :)

This is my rendition of the Los Angeles 2017 - i.e. Blade Runner territory. I couldn't get the rain quite right but if you pretend that you're looking out of a window then it should be ok

This one is my rendition of the flight from Rand- Well more like the catching of Aviendha. The gateway is on the left, the ice that she fell through in the middle and the 'igloo' on the right. I know it isn't quite right but the book is in the other room and I can't be bothered going and getting it.

Well, I liked my alien ones so I decided to do another - this time with a sort of stargate effect going on.

Thanks mith! It's nice to get compliments.
I know my stuff ain't very complicated, but I'm trying, and I know this site so I like to put my stuff up here. Just 'cos I can

Heh, they are more complicated than anything i've ever done with bryce, or and 3D rendering app. I get too frustrated with those programs, and usually give up b/c the stupid thing won't do what I want, or some piece mysterious moves and I can never get it back in place just right. Maybe its 'cuz I never found [or completed] enough "good" tutorials, but it prolly has something to do with my lack of patience in this sort of thing.
One of these I will take a class on usesing 3D design & rendering apps. You can create some amazing things with them, as theoban has demonstrated.

ah, these remind me of my old trapper keepers from gradeschool... in the 80's....
The best one I had though, was this purple landscape, a dark purple mountain with a bright purple comet about to collide with it coming down from the sky.

On the previous page, there's my borg attack pic. Since I lost my stuf, I've done another, but its a bit better. I' ve added a shield and the ship is no longer just one that came with the package, I've made my own Enterprise. It's a bit basic, so pretend it's the original series.

Theoban, what type of program are you using for those pictures and how much do they set you back.
Theoban
14th February 2003, 12:23
I'm using Bryce 2 for two reasons:
1. My computer is old and crappy and probably wont run anything better
2. It was free on the front of a mag
Theoban

Ok, been a while
but I thought I'd have a go again
This one is me messing with cloud effects - I built a small castle, and hid it under a shadow to disguise the fact that it's crappy
Theoban
27th April 2003, 11:27
This one's a grave scene. obviously
I'm playing around with lighting and fog - made a spinning top, glass texture and slapped a light inside it - not finished yet though

Been a while, but got Bryce 5 now, so stuff should be better.
Just did this, ice city sort of thing
