dudez, every fantasy site needs some good old dbz threads, (me personally, id ahve half a dozen but one will have to do) and as therre was to my shock and horror, :mad: none:mad: i thought that id better add one.

come one, who hasnt watched and loved that show?? we back in little old new zealand have only just made it onto the world tournament when kakurat returns, but hey, thats what the nets for isnt it!!

i must say that goku is probably the only charachter in my mind from tv or books that id pit against old rand and expect to win too, but thats anotrher aside i want get into,

Yeah we've had a whole anime thread in gen. discussion....not too much dbz though.

sorry but compared to other anime.....dbz is like.....umm, yeah can't really say that here. It still has a place in my heart for introducing me to the wonderful world of anime, but once you've experienced stuff Trigun, Cowboy Bebop and Eva, etc.....dbz just seems dull.

actually the networks over here have been running the origional dragonball episodes, gotta love the classics:)

dbz is on its 6th rerun i think... gotten kinda boring. oh well, still good stuff though.

Dbz is, um, ok I guess. It has its moments. I'm more into Slayers, Escaflowne, Trigun, and Rurouni Kenshin. (I like Dark Angel too, that's what my avatar's from :D).

^^ Yay for Tayhlon's choices in anime. *grin* I have to strongly back up all of those titles, and add Revolutionary Girl Utena, Weiss Kreuz, Street Fighter II (the animated series, and first animated movie) and Fushigi Yugi to the mix.

DBZ still will have a place in my heart, but it's just SUCH a "guy" series, so I can only really watch it once in a while. ^^;;

oh man DBZ the english dub... I can't say rocked my boat, hehe I got into anime via Sailor Moon then quickly went on to even better things, though that series did have it's good points :) and cool characters. (I sat through 3 seasons just to see sailor saturn)

My better things include Trigun, Love Hina, FLCL, Kare Kano, and Ah! My Goddess to name a few. OOOh serial experiments lain...

Cowboy Bebop does rock. But it has that bad thing going for it that a lot of those awesome series do: it only has like 25 episodes. DBZ seems to just keep going on forever, and the characters get more and more powerful...

That's true, Trunks is seriously cool, but i just think Goku is so sweet... plus, he hangs around longer. I guess I wouldn't mind Trunks hanging around longer either, but... meh.

Now come on guys, you haven't even mentioned vegeta. When they were on namek and he is freaking going crazy getting stronger and so determined to beat frieza. Thats nuts. Or how he does achieve a milestone and gets so cocky about it. He is by far my favorite character even though rarely is the strongest.

DBZ was good on lazy sundays, but it got quite annoying, you could watch one episode, miss five and on the sixth they would be more or less in the exact same position.

And, insofar as I was a DBZ fan (which I really wasn't), I have to say Vegeta was always my favorite character. He was a badass and didn't make any bones about it. Kind of a shame he mellowed out later on. I still consider the point where he went ssj and annihilated the first android (can't remember which number... the fat one with the stupid 'talking-doll' voice) as the high point of the show for me.

dbz is awesome!! those characters are about all i draw anymore. the greatest part for me is the cell games, back when gohan was kick-ass and not some pansy ass sayaman thing.

Let's hear it for Piccolo! Seriously! Piccolo the bad guy you once loved to hate. Became a badass for the cause of good. Got whupped too easily in the later parts of the series though.

yeah. But I saw in a Shonen Jump, that he was still trying to take over the world. (during android saga), but, you also gotta love Hercule! He's the Champ, is he not? If not for Hercule, Goku would've gotten annihilated with a mega-sized Spirit Bomb of his own. GT is old! I saw the Metal planet saga like 5 times on Cartoon Network, man do they suck! CN can't even get the later episodes of DBGT, Yu-Yu-Hakusho, and other goodies! Vegeta's prideful, like me, but I wouldn't mind i if he'd actually train with Goku ONCE in a while... to try and at least be par with him. But, Vegeta is better than Goku (Intellectually) due to Goku being dumb and actually fuse with Gohan so Chi-Chi could force him into school, the brainless wonder. But, that's life. :grumbles: *Can't draw DBcharacters for the life of OH* Also, I've never even heard of Rand. Sorry! :(
