In every interveiw I've read about, RJ says that under no cercumstances will the creator lend a helping hand.

In an attemt to dissemble RJ, no cheesy miracles and no escaping or avoiding your destiny (for this context take destiny=duty). It is the destiny of the Dragon to face the Shadow, it is his duty.

I subscribe to that idea that RJ told us the end of the story before he began. The Prolouge (sp?) of tEoTW, maybe?

The foxes told him that he must die in order to live.

LT died at the end of his "Last Battle" and was thus resurected (albeit in a really srewed up, twisted, sucks to be you sorta way).

I think Rands going to have to suffer some similar fate. He will still be rewarded for all his good efforts (death is lighter than a feather and all that). Man, That's Cold!!!! Sounds about right.

All the hints and foreshadowing about him surviving TG are realy just an RJ conspiracy (theory) to make the ending really cool.

Rand is going to fake his death, he isn't going to die. Egwene had a dream when she see like Rand's dead body or something, she touches it and it turn out to be fake. Rand isn't going to die.

Rand's going to run for the hills! Or die. Think about it, the last battle done, no more "Sorry Elayne, Min and Aviendha, I can't discuss this right now, I have a forsaken to kill...." If rand survives the last battle, he'd be stuck with three wives all telling him what to do and giving him a hard time when he didn't do all three at the same time. Err...all the things that all three told him to do, I mean. ~nods~

Anyway...that "fake death dream" you're thinking about, Magy, was about a false dragon, not a false Rand. I.e. I atleast, think that it's about Taim's death.

We all know what the prophecies say. Well, they are pretty clear that he will die but maybe he doesn't necessary die for all time I mean he is going to be reborn if he wins against the dark one. Remember Elayne is pregnant and that might be his ressurection.

Either way it's going to be a really really sad day when he passes.

If I remember correctly, there is not phrophecy out right saying that he will die. Personally I am not sure if he will or will not. We have the Prophecies of the Dragon, merely stating he will shed his blood on Shayol Ghul. Min's reading was of Seeing 2 men in one body, one will die, while the other will live. She also had the viewing that if Perrin is not there twice for him, HE will die. She did not say on the two men which one shall die. Shedding blood does not neccesarily mean he will die. Egwene's dreams, only thing fatal from her dreams that I remember is the hand, or the lack of. So he gets his hand whacked. Big woop. He can just pack it on ice, zip over to Nynaeve, and get her to Heal it. Oh, and three women around his funeral biar. So, his women will outlast him. Would not be surprised, they will probally drive him to his death! So maybe it is LTT That is to die. From all I have read, this is THE Last Battle. Or least the last one for a long time. I think Rand will come to a choice when he is about to reseal the DO. He know if he reseals it, even if he does a good job and gets it truley resealed, that the DO will just brake out again. What if Rand Breaks the WOT like the DO wants to, but reshapes it into Rand's viewing, where there is no DO to trouble them? Anyways, I think that the Creator finally got fed up with LTT and his predecessors. I mean, none of them could finish the job. All they seem to be able to do is Reseal him, or get killed, leaving humanity in the care of the DO. So the Creator simply made a new thred, and put LTT's thread next to it so that LTT can communicate with Rand. I think it will be LTT's turn to finally die, and we resuurected, to be reborn merely as a normal person. As for blood, well, RJ will just do the Whole Star Wars thing:

Rand, in rage, goes to strike the DO, but the DO flows from "Boar Snortin My Arse" to "Heron Cuts the Hand" and lobs of Rands Hand!

DO: Yes, and together we can Rule the Universe! Join Me! We can be Father and Son, All powerful! Even Challenge the Creator!
Rand: I will never join you!
Rand Leeps of the cliffs of Shayol Ghul, then halfway down opens a Gateway to his bed.
