I was just thinking about the new title Crossroads of Twilight, - whats is its significance to the storey as a whole - I kept comming back to the same thought, shift in balance between light and dark, a time of change.

I thought about what way the Dark One would be involved, bang it hoofed me in the bollox! Rand Cleansing Saidan is seriously going to throw the Dark fella' off balance, then he'll erupt with rage. He will review his current stategy and seek revenge and the Shadow will really start to treathen events.

I know a lot of ye think I might be a dull whoer but this was TOO obvious for me, I never really considered how the DO would react to Rands miracle. Anyway I'd like to know what ye think about how the DO will react.

makes sense to me, especially if RJ really is going to finish this series in 3 books (~snort!~), things have got to picking up the pace. but what do you think he will actually do? make the blight grow back? send forsaken on a ta'veren hunt? have demandred come out?

Just so you know, RJ has said "three more books" after books 6, 7, and 8 as well. :)

RJ has refused to say how many books since book 6. He's been saying it'll be at least three more sine then.

I think there may be a chance the DO will instruct the invasion of the borderlands, with a significant proportion of there armies so far south the shadow could easily overwhelm them. Also the shadows plans using the Seanchan may come to fruition.

It was hinted that without the dark one's protection against the taint, the male forsaken would rebel against him. I really don't see that happening. All that will happen with saidin clean is male and female forsaken on the same level. The females don't need the threat of insanity to remain faithful to the DO. I really don't see a male Forsaken rebelling just because he won't go insane without the DOs protection. They still have evil inclined personalities. The DO encourages and rewardes this type of behavior.

Ah, but are they evil because they chose to be evil or because they we're led to be evil; or even inclined to evil.
