Due to, err, some issues with our chat, we've now set up a new chat. It can be found here:
http://www.wotism.net/forums/chat.php

We're not completely finshed setting it all up, but it works :)

Yeah, it doesn't load properly the second time.

Fire up a new browser window and it works again, but never a second time.

Did some adjustments that might have improved this thing a bit. If you do get the gray nothingness, refreshing the page might help.

If nothing helps, the only way is to go to chat a second time is by starting a new browser session

Ok, I've redesigned the script calling the chat a bit (a bit major to be honest  )

The layout should now be fixed. I've tested it on a 1024x768 resolution and it looks good. Haven't tested the other resolutions, and the higher resolutions aren't supported yet, but all in good time.

Some explanation:
the chat crashed on secondary loads due to a bug in (mainly) Internet Explorer's java support. It couldn't cope with the width setting in percentages (width=100%).

I've now modified the script to first check your screen resolution, and use the result as a fixed width setting. You can now reload all you want, and the chat should be all over the screen again.

Wonder what it looks like in 1600xwhatever though???

Yeah, more problems, I know.

Refreshing the page should help.

It's not limited to just the chat though

Don't know if anyone with a space in his/her username ever tried to enter?

Think the weirdo output has been solved. Let me know if anyone still encounters it.

hehe, yay, cookies! :D

My monitor won't go any higher then 1024x768, so I don't know how higher resolutions look like...

About usernames: some characters won't be accepted, so I've made it so that any non-alfanumerical character is replaced with an underscore automatically.
