Who would not like to be able to be a sul'dam just for a day and have a very attractive damane be your slave for a day. Very wrong but i just can not stop thinking how enjoyable that could be.

the only problem I can really see with it is that to become a sul'dam you have to be female...and then having an attractive damane doesn't count for as much ;) Of course there is still the joy of wrecking havoc everywhere you go...

The sul'dam-damane system sucks to the Pit of Doom!! Is it right to turn someone into damane just because the poor girl is born knowing how to touch saidar? A sul'dam isn't all that different, & yet their fates are so drastically different. Light, can you imagine wanting to kill yourself but you can't? That's a fate worse than death. The system should be scrapped & all sul'dam balefired.

just a note on larkins comment aboutt hings being multiplied, we know that they *ahem* "enjoy" themselves a lot more when there is a bond with men that can channel, (source being the comments of the aes sedai that logain captured and is bedding), but if the same applied to ordinary men, we'd have heard something before from one of the other aes sedai i would of thought

I think we had a little things on Condoms made of the OP back on "Does Rand use a condom" You could use a little extra air and some fire for a feisty time, or do some natural enhancement with air, earth, and fire... I figure a condom made of air and fire would be pretty efficient, but be careful! You don;t want to miss with that little bit of fire! /shudder... Myrelle and Lan were humping for a while...

The seanchan don't know that the sul'dam have the ability to channel. When they test women, the ones that have the spark born into them (those that would begin channeling whether or not they wanted to) become damane. The ones that have the ability to learn to channel, but never would without training, are made sul'dam.

It ought to be interesting when this becomes common knowledge among the Seanchan. :D

oh, that makes sense, but how do they see the weaves? is it really from being a sul'dam awhile like they think?

Well, yeah...but not for the reason they think. The sul'dam is indirectly channeling when she is connected to a damane. Just like a novice in the tower, they'll eventually begin to be able to see the flows.

Just a note for some of the earlier comments...

For the Seanchan, having any kind of a sexual act with a damane is considered a form of bestiality. If a sul'dam or anyone else did that it would be like doing it with a dog. It makes sense, in a way. They train them to give up any and all of their humanity, until they become like animals.

I'm not quite sure how I feel about that. At least it would protect the helpless damane from being molested, but then again it just enforces Seanchan feeling that they are nothing more then animals to train.

It's an icky, nasty situation. The a'dams should be piled up and balefired away.
