We're pondering getting a (web)email thing for wotism like wotmania has and I was just wondering....would anyone even WANT such a thing??

The best thing would be if you had one of those addresses that just send the mails to another address. But I'd take one anyway.

Depends how large it is; I'm used to 50MB at work... never had a problem. My @home.com only has 5MB, and therefore somewhat limits what can be done.

Well...I cant' tell you all our secrets about the server, BUT I can tell you that Jacob and I are doing the page, we came up with the design together, though we keep trying to sort out exactly how it'll look! LOL! I have problems with picking colors as you might have noticed by the many colors this forum has been through. hehe But, Jacob finally said, GRAY AND GREEN, so this is how it'll look now. If not..I might have made it pink next, who knows...

<BR>You'd not be able to get the whole email forwarded from this, as it would be the same provider that wotmania uses. You'd be able to get an alert sent to your ISP email or to icq or such.

<BR>And no Sol, we are NOT going to give you an email account hosted on our mailserver so that you can get 50MB. But you could try getting such a (paid) service for yourself from some hosting company....it wouldn't be cheap though.

<BR>The provider we'd use would give you 6MB of space and that should be enough unless you are getting files and such....which I assume you are then:) We might try to think about something regarding that later on....maybe.

Status for the <!-- BBcode auto-mailto start --><a href="mailto:you@wotism.net">you@wotism.net</a><!-- BBCode auto-mailto end --> is Pending:) it looked like it went down the drain there for abit and earlier today I was much wroth, wanting to do much bodyly harm to the man responsible for plans going awry. Hitting the monitor with your fist hurts quite abit so fortunately I was saved from myself (I'm a mean fighter and I cheat) in time to prevent serious damage though.

<BR>In short, we were going to use everyone.net, the same provider that wotmania (and GWINNA) use...but turns out they no longer accept any new websites for that service unless you're prepared to pay a whole bunch of arms and legs (those are worth gold on the organ donor maket today). Pox on them!

<BR>Anyway, I've applied for another service that Dutch Mike directed me to (ain't he neato?:) and we should have our email up in...well, they said it could take 7-10 days so maybe it'll be that long. This service will not give you a 6mb mailbox though, only 4mb. But then, that's a darn lot of emails too ~nods~

Actualy I was checking this out and if you want I can turn my service into a wotism service completely without much hassel as I am the only one using it.

<BR>ahh, something a member of my comp sci class earlier this year discovered. . .course he hit the monitor hard enough to break the pedestal. . .we later discovered that most of the pedestals were infact broken. . . ..there was much turning upside down of monitors thereafter. . . .
