I remember you had a site with lots of information about faeries, so I'm hoping you can help me out here.

I'm looking for a detailed, well-organized, comprehensive book about European folklore with an emphasis on faeries.

All the faery sites I've looked at so far have suggested books that look like they are more about Wicca than folklore, or else books of pretty faery pictures but little or no real information.

Just find a good book on mythology, especially Celtic mythology. You can look at my site if you want to thefey.surfsyou.net, look at fairies a-z, I found all sorts of fairies from different myths and stuck all of them there. I don't know of any straight forward books about fairies, like you said, most are more pictures than anything else.
