I'm wondering if anyone here plays Unreal Tournament?
 
 Im in 'The Jedi Council' were champions of Jolt CTF D3c and Runners up in BarrysWorld CTF D3.

eurgh, i don't mind abba in moderate doses when it's not covered by Steps or some other idiotic Brit-pop group - but they had several ABBA based programs here recently (dunno why, been practising being innattentive lately). ABBA-thons and Hair. I think this renaissance comes around every couple of years or so - haven't been around long enough to write a thesis on it yet (actually, i could BS on about that for a while ... mental note: consider this for PhD studies <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif"> ).

 Since this place is about absolutly nothing, I think it's okay for me to bicker about the weather we have here in Sweden right now.
 It's in the freaking 50's and it's windy too. You might almost think we're way up in the north or something. Talked to my boyfriend in Connecticut, and he told me that it's in the high 80's there right now. This sucks.
 If anyone wants to donate money to me so I can buy a ticket and get out of Sweden, let me know. I'll be forever grateful.

I'm really tired too... I'm getting a bit sick of my job - being a teacher is a lot more fun than being a guide, because as a teacher you follow the same people for some time. As a guide there are new ones all the time, so after about the hundredth time of explaining why Mercury is so hot on one side and so cold on the other, you're ready to scream... Also it's really tiring to stand all the time. Ok, I'm done whining... Back to work.

I played tag with my little cousins yesterday (and growled like a monster). I hadn't played it in a long time, maybe years, and had forgotten how much fun it is (great exercise too). Grownups should play tag more often. We should have neighborhood games and stuff...play it in fields and playground structures and stuff.

 Well:
 
 Dummy answer (for children): Because the sun heats one side of it.
 
 More complicated answer (for more interested ppl or ppl who notice that Venus is hot on _both_ sides):
 1) It spins very slowly (one revolution per two Mercury years) so the sun has time to heat it
 2) It has too little gravity to keep on to much of an atmosphere, and the atmosphere (or more correctly greenhouse gases) are what acts as insulation and keeps the heat from escaping into space on the night side of the planet. So that's why Venus is about 500 degrees Celsius all over, and Mercury 400 on its day side and -150 on its night side, even though Venus is farther away.

 I would also like to make not that i have hereby decided that pizza is the miracle cure. . .haha, my immune system has served to amaze me again:-) yesterday i was bedridden, dehydrated and most sick. . . .last night i switched to a diet of pizza and coke. . .this morning i awoke with a scratchy throat and congestion, but no fever, no dehydration, and more energy than i've had in a week:-) HAHA!!

J3. .. .well it won't be "based on one of the books but not really" like both of them. . .PARTICULARLY the second. . .so it has a chance of not sucking so much. . .i don't know. . .it looks kinda interesting. . .and it uses parts of the second and first book (without actually having the same plotline as either) they left out in the other movies that made the books better. . .so i see hope in it

I had already given up on out posting you and have settled for being a close second by frequently visiting the board everyday and commenting whenever I think appropiate(i.e. being a wotist) Besides you still have me beat by at least 40 posts! Even if I posted as much as you(which I don't, your average post per day is higheir than mine) it would take me over a 3 months to get close to your number. After tommorow I probably won't be able to post as much until I get to colledge and even then I won't have alot of time. I just want to establish myself as the second with a comfortable lead on Huran. Besides as I said I refuse to cheat on this. I try to avoid meaningless posts(except in absnot and even then I try to keep it interesting or a real response). I don't break my posts up into several diffrent ones if i can help it and I don't spam. However if you want:

OK, so I sometimes go to the PETA website. I also post at couple other message boards. Where, at one of which, there was alot of talk about animal testing and animal cruelty in general.
 
 Even though I think PETA and it's supporters tend to be extreme in alot of ways, it's because they have to be to get people to listen to them, and what they're doing is a good thing, imo.
