I suppose this is a theory question.

Any theories as to what we might see in the next book?

Mat n'daughter o' nine moons havin a ball. Perrin going crazy on some foolish Aiel. Rand's personality is now a merge of LTT and the old Rand we know and love. Battle of White Tower. And hopefully some important characters get killed off. Um ... I suspect that last whitecloak army will come into play with Perrin too.

I was kinda dissapointed by how easily the Whitecloaks got taken out. Pathetic!

nomal human vs Damane equals and ultimate miss match. There didn't stand a chance, but Mat's gonna kick some Seachan Ass when he starts using fireworks in battle.

I don't know if this will be in the next book or not, but I am waiting for Rand and Galad to meet again. That meeting has more interest for me than either Elayne and Morgase or even Rand and Tam.
Also, how about a Forsaken getting killed or getting a royal ass beating. That had happened in almost every book until book 8 (1 - Aginor & Balthamel, 2 - Ishamael getting injured, 3 - Belal, 4 - Asmodean getting cut off, 5 - Rahvin & Lanfear, 7 - Sammael). Personally, I miss it.

Actualy if you look at it from a strait death point it was always the odd ones and still is
1)Aginor and Bathmeal
3)belail and Ishmeal
5)Rahvin, Lanfear, Asmondean
7)Sammeal
9)Dashiva(or Aginor again)

I like the idea too. Unfortunately it's quite unlikely Moghedien or Cyndane will get whacked, because it seems to me most of the time they got whacked when they were doing things their own way. Unless Graendal, Semirhage, Mesaana or Demandred puts a foot wrong, although it's likely they're more cautious now that so many Chosen have been killed.

I think Gawn will come back to Andor in the Next one and Elayce will be crowned Queen. Then start her Claim on the sun Throne.

Also I think Halima will be exposed in the next one also and killed, so there's your dead Forsaken

Well, anyone have a clue what army is marching on Caemlyn?

Man, it has been way too long since I read book 9, I forgot most of what happens.

Let's see, here are my predictions:

1) The Great Purge / The Battle of the White Tower.

2) Perrin / Aiel / Whitecloaks / Prophet / Seanchan...this seems to me to be the main focus of book 10.

3) The Siege of Caemlyn / The Kidnapping of Elayne / The Rescue (Rand is gonna be majorly pissed on this one).

4) The Escape of Mat / Binding the Nine Moons.

I forgot about the army marching on Caemlyn. Is that the borderland kings and queens who met at the beginning of book 7 or 8?
Also, I want to combine two theory threads. I want book 10 to let us know who let Paden Fain out!

Try this on for size.

In New Spring, Moiarine had a list of women who gave birth during the war and one of them was Kari al'Thor (or maybe the husband, Tam al'Thor...makes no difference). Yet, in book 1 when Moiraine shows up in Emond's Field, she makes no mention of the fact that Rands parents fit that description. In fact, she has noc lue which of the three boys the Dragon is.

When my sister (under my direction) asked RJ this in California after book 8 came out, he said sometime over the 20 year period she lost the list and forgot the names.

Assuming RJ actually planned that and didn't come up with a solution that sorta might work if you forget that this is Moiarines mission in life, my question is: What led Moiarine to the Two Rivers originally?

Three Taveren! The wheel drew her to them at the exact right moment. Not a day too soon or too late. That's just how I see it. It might be a cheap answer, but, hey, it's better than saying she was coming to bet money on the annual Bel Tine pony race.

She was following a trail of clues and prophecy, besides, if you were given a bunch of names in a book would you remember them? I beleive she had actualy read the name out of the book at the time. Funny stuff.
