I've always been skipped the women parts when i reread. But in me current reread I decided I wouldn't skipp any part I would read the whole thing straight though.
I like Egwene alot more now then when I first started my reread. Say what ever you want about her and the things she does or says but you can't help but respect her for her actions in book 6. First when she take Nyneve down a peg or 2, I think that part was a turning point for Egwene, she seemed a different character after that.
Also when she met her toh with the Aiel. You couldn't help but respect her after that.
Then look at the situation she's thrown into. She hasn't been in the tower for about a year or so, then they make her Amyrlin Seat. Just so they can control her like a puppet with them pulling the strings. But she shows herself a match for the hall of the tower, recruits herself some help and takes control herself.
Much props to Egwene

I think you're missing out on some good stuff by skipping the women's parts. I hope you don't do that with most books. :)

Actually I skip that part's that annoy me or that I don't care about, like in Song of Fire and Ice, I skipped alot of Bran and Rickton's parts, but I never skipped and Arya or Sansa part.

I've gotten to the point where when I read Tolkein, I skip the poetry and songs entirely. Does that count?
I just finished catching up on Goodkind's Sword of Truth stuff and there were entire sections dealing with a couple of slaves that was extremely dull that I skipped.
I don't think I've skipped reading parts of WOT tho...

I just want to here what happens to the characters I like the most first, the what happens to everyone else comes latter in a reread. Normally after I finish a WOT book I reread it like 3 or 4 times before I even pick up something else.

Egwene is annoying as hell, the more so the futher the book's progresses. She's got the most double standards that any one character has in the series. I just hope that alot of the latest downturn has it's source in "Halima's backrubs".

Give her a break will you, she's being tortured and brainwashed by one of the forsaken unknowingly, she has the rest of the Aes Sedai either wanting to take control from her or have exacuted. She's trying to deal with Rand and keep her side from getting trampled(of course Eladia solved that problem for her), She's trying to conduct a war. What do you want from her?

True enough Egwene has alot to do, but she needs to be smarter. Why even trust that woman and her rubs. Wouldn't you be a little concerned about who interacts with you after what she's been through.
Nynave would have been the first person I'd call to help me, I would trust no one else.
Besides that, she knew what she was getting herself into, she needs to be tough and smart.
I think Elayne is doing very well.

A tad of humility and a drop of self critizism would be a good start. Arrogan WITHOUT a mountain top, that is Egwene.

I fully agree. She's not like other Aes Sedai, who're mostly bitches in my opinion. I admire her selfless dedication to fighting the Shadow, even if it means sacrificing herself. Recall tEoTW: "Anything the Dark One wants, I oppose. Can there be a simpler reason, or a better?" Also, she humbles herself to Rand just so she can help him, something other Aes Sedai never stooped to doing unless they were forced to their knees.

Ever since she was stilled I've always had a huge admiration for Suian. She and Moraine have both have sacrificed themselves for the world. Everything they have done over the last twenty or so years has been to help the Dragon Reborn, and what do they get for their sacrifice? Moraine get label as a traitor by the white tower and Suian get stilled. I think they both deserve better, I think Rand understand all Moraine has done for him, I just hope one day he understands what Suian has done for him also.

I'm not sure Rand will ever trust Siuan the way he trusted Moiraine, because she's with the Salidar team & basically Aes Sedai can't be trusted. Moiraine understands this, as pointed out in her letter to him.

Well, sometimes Egwene acted rather childish, but at other times, she displays her maturity and that's when I like her the most. Egwene is one of those people who have more to them than meets the eye... she is indeed an admirable character.
