That's weird. The paperback edition of Winter's Heart will be released in November in the UK and the US version will be released February 2002.
But it's already out in the Netherlands. I know, I've got one, hehe.
Should still take me a while to read it though. I'm just about to finish the second book. Only a handful of pages to go...

I pray it does.

Why are you all so eagerly awaiting the paperback, just go to your library if you really want to read it.
I mean, I live in the smallest town in the world and we have it in our local library. If it's not there then try the library book exchange, because they will request one if it isn't there for some reason and you won't have to wait X months.

Just like ... buy the hardcover. It looks a lot cooler on your shelf, and let's face it -- that's the only reason we actually buy the book am I right?

This is so irritating it makes me hotter than a weave of Fire. After all these months, I still can't find a Trolloc-kissing copy of Winter's Heart anywhere. Have they all gone to the Pit of Doom or what?

I'd say what.

speaking of Winter's Heart, My hard cover is falling apart already, while my Path of Daggres is still in good shape. and so it my Lord of Chaos. Now I'll have to buy Winter's heart in soft cover anyway.
Also I heard there doing a reprint of eye of the word for younger kids. For the Harry Potter crowd, I guess it's gonna be divided up into two books and also it's gonna have two new chapters in it. That what the person at Waldens told me anyway.

My first copy of Eye of the World has fallen into about 7 pieces held together by elmers glue, and rubber bands. It's so funny 'cause the quote on the cover goes something like,
"Looks like another fantasy epic."
- Piers Anthony
Man ... that's funny, when the highlight of your book is "another fantasy epic". I fell over laughing!

I don't think Peir Anthony should be writing any thing about RJ, he hasn't written a book I've liked yet. It's almost like Charles Barkley talkin about Jordan's championships. If you can't reach that level don't even open your mouth.

I hope the award comes not as some plaque or trophy, but as a ter'angreal that can store Illusions & music, so I can weave Fire & Air into it & out comes my mp3 collection & virtual copies of WOT, so I don't have to keep visiting the flaming library. (You got to admit, Air & Fire are the most useful flows of the 5.)

That's the bloody reason why I hate hardcovers. After some time they all start falling apart like my pet Darkhound's gotten at it.

i'm not so fond of hardcovers either. . . . .they look nice on a shelf. . .but their awkward. . .especially to read in bed. . .or to carry around. . . . .

I've read his Incarnations of Immortality series except for book 1 (couldn't find a flaming copy in the Trolloc cookpot of a library). I got to say they're a bit on the unrealistic side, especially the 1 about Cronos. That was so full of paradoxes & illogical twists of time that it was a real bloody mess. I hate time paradoxes (unfortunately they're flaming common in sci-fi) because they really screw up cause & effect, before & after. That's the sort of thing which ties the Great Serpent into knots until it chokes to death.
I've seen a few of the Xanth books, & they're pretty childish. Not for serious readers who're into real life like WOT.
