ok, so I don't know if this belongs in this forum, but I'm looking for fantasy character art and portraits, not drawings but actual polished and professional seeming artwork. I need some kind of picture of a youthful male magus for a project and can't seem to find any really good ones that fit this description. if any of you know of any good fantasy web galleries that have anything like that, please let me know.
thanks

Last time I checked Elfwood was having server problems and were on and offline a lot. Just keep trying.
You can always go check out Michael Whelan's art gallery, I think the url www.glassonion.com. He might have something there. :)

How about: http://www.tarnishedimages.com/Galleries/Picture-TheMagi.htm
The artist is at my local Ren Fest every year. Here website main page is at: http://www.tarnishedimages.com
I have 4 of her dragon pieces which I love.
Another artist at the Ren Fest who does good stuff (I love 'Corsair', and will buy it soon) is at : http://www.nenethomas.com
Sorry if I'm not suppose to plug for profiteering websites...

ah, those would appear to be very good images malcor. here are some I found earlier but couldn't use because they don't fit what I needed, they are very nice images though. (if anyone knows who the artist of either/both? of these images is let me know so I can find more stuff by them):

These are paintings by the artist known as Brom. He is a fantastic artist, best known for art for the Dark Sun Campaign setting. He also has done quite a few book jackets.
