I have to commend EVERYONE on this message board. I'm SO impressed by you all. I've just been surfing the net for the past few days, trying to find out more about the terrorist attacks on America, and have looked in on many, many discussion boards. Some Australian based, and some international.

What I found was, to put it bluntly, appalling. Most sites had people just filling up the boards with spam, with swearing, with name-calling, with hatred. They weren't "discussing" anything. It was humans at their worst.

I came back here, and breathed the biggest sigh of relief. Here is a web community that actually ***CARES*** about each other. That can discuss difficult issues, and different view points in a really mature, thoughtful and in many cases, insightful manner. I said when I first came here, that I thought it was one of the best discussion groups I'd ever found. I was SO right. Once again, congratulations, I'm proud of everyone here.

I'm slightly/really disappointed in the lack of hugging going around here.

Hmm... ~drags in comfy soft fluffy (hypo-allergenic, just in case) couches and stuffed animals and other hug-conducive things into the thread~ So if anyone ever feels like they need a hug or want to give one, this can be the Happy Hug Thread or something :) ~gives every one a great big giant hug and twirls away happily~ :)
