ICQ gets worse and worse with every new version...well, after 2000 anyway. It disconnects me but appears to be online, and this morning it refused to connect.
 
 I think they're loosing members anyway, but as the lesser of 4 evils, the others being AIM, Yahoo, and msn, I'll keep using it.
 Just needed to have a bit of a rant. I enjoy useless posts anyway. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif">

I got that trillian thingy chavv, but OMG! is it cofusing! I have way too many instant msgers anyway. Having all those things on at once is too much. I think I'll get cahoots though.

 I agree. Actually, the version of ICQ that I have here at my dad's house is pretty reliable, oddly enough. But the ICQ on my school comp can get sorta wacky.

argh, well my server went broke, 600 million dollars in debt, so my net connection is very much on the blink. Which means (bringing us back to relevant converastion) that i cannot log onto ICQ for the life of me *sighs* U know, it seems kinda dodgy when u have it, but i miss all my exclusively icq chatter type person *cries*

I've never liked ICQ, and not chatting either for that matter. I guess email and message boards give you more of an opportunity to think things through before you post them, and I like that...
 
 When I did have ICQ, people would laugh at me for getting stressed out when chatting to just three people at once... *shudders at the thought of having _several_ of those instant messenger thingies on at the same time*

Noooo! Ari! No ICQ, no net at all! I'm addicted now and would go into withdrawal...but no Ari to talk to is no good. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif"> We'll take care of the ppl at your ISP when we take care of mine, they've been asking for it.
 
 And Elin, I use to run 2 or 3 IM's at once, and it's too confusing, I start sending the wrong ppl wrong msgs, atleast I wasnt' doing anything incriminating. hehe Anyway, I'm terrible at replying to email, I keep telling myself, "I'll do it when I have time" and time never seems to present itself. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif">

 I was in the middle of an Unreal Tournament game with my clan and I didn't know ICQ was still running. When you get a msg and your in UT you get kicked out out and disconnected from the server (NOT good when your in the middle of a jolt league game).
 
 Anyways, that why I don't have ICQ on much thesedays.

Oh, nothing really, except that I want to anonounce that icq is still bad. More than bad, worse that worst. ICQ is simply the badest it's ever been, and NOT in a possitive way <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif">
 
 And can't you get another isp, Ari?? Are they really expensive in where you are in Australia?? I know we don't talk much, but it would suck so bad if you couldn't come online at all! And ack, I'd have to call you on the phone and I'd get ruined!

I don't chat as much on ICQ as I use too, mostly because I'm online early in the morning and NO one except ppl in un-godly time zones (Ari, hehe) are online, and then to chat to Jacob to plot stuff. Working on this and my other site seems to eat up my time online. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif"> But, it's all for the greater good, because we have a wotism site that's not dead. *nods*

Yes Great And Powerful Ari, I will be on MSN as you command so that we may plot uninterupted...that is until I reformat my hard drive, which is either tonight or tomorrow, then I'll be IM less! 2000b is no better, and I wish I still had my 99b too. <IMG SRC="/forum/images/smiles/icon_frown.gif"> But, like Harun, my puter went to crap last year around this time too and 99b got wiped. But, I may no somewhere to find it. *updates to follow*

I don't have an older install of icq, though I bet you could find one if you searched on the net (I think I've done that before), but I do have something that'll remove the banner ads from the new icq. And, once those are gone, you can really change the settings in 2000b so it behaves basically like older vers. Though I agree that w/ each new ver icq gets successively bloated and ugly.
