ok, she looks a little bit like Jennifer Love Hewitt, but, ah well, you've gotta start somewhere. :D

Hey Jean - it looks good. I like the wind-blown hair look. She looks a little more cheery than i usually imagine Lanfear - i guess i just always picture her looking either arrogent or annoyed, but that's just me. If i can make a suggestion - you may want to look at doing some shading of the neck to give it a more three dimensional quality. But again, it looks good and i like it :)

Thanks for the advice Julia. I did a little shading, but not enough for the scanner to pick it up....maybe that means it wasnt' enough shading at all. :)
The windblown hair is the idea I got from that magazine cover. She really doesn't look that much like that girl, except for the hair. I TRIED to make her look like she was smirking, but it turned into more of a smile. It's weird, when I try NOT to make them smile they do, and when I want them to look happy, they all look sad. :)

Yes, i can see now that you were going for a smirk. I've never tried to draw a smirk before! Good idea though - that's definitely a Lanfear trait.
I know what you mean about the scanners not picking up everything. That's sometimes frustrating - though sometimes with the computer and adjusting contrasts and brightnesses, you can really improve what a picture looks like.

That is really good! I love the big lips she has. And although the head band thing is a little corny, It adds a great touch. Nice work
