Hi Lelyk, welcome aboard! Mi casa es su casa. Or some such, probably spelt differently:) (and change that "mi" or "me" or whatever to meaning "our" :)
Okay, I'm dying here, how did you find these pages, I've GOTTA know! :) The same would go abit for a few more of those that have joined lately (i.e. not "oldbies" from the old org. bboard)

Hi Jacob :) Hi Lylek :) I'm new too! Well, i've been a WoTist for, uhm, 3 years, when i started finding some pages with WoT art and found wotism.org. I've been reading WoT since '94 i believe. I've long since lost track of how many times i've read each of the books. I'm currently re-reading book 6.
Oh, and Jacob and Jean - thank you for making me the Artist of the Month! I'm really, really flattered :)

Hey magatsu17, i guess we were on the wotism.org board at different times - i don't remember "Dmxreborn", well it could just be that i have a bad memory, LOL! I went by just "Julia" on that board, i think.
"everything is wonderful now!" - Everclear :)

Well it was a really long time ago, and i doubt that any one would remeber. but it's very nice to meet you as well.

I sure remember Dmxreborn! I had no idea that that was you though. Remembering old wotists is one of my chief talents. There's not that much money to be made in that though :-( But I'm sure that others here remember as well, you posted alot as I can remember. I feel for you on having lost internet access too. Angst!
And you're welcome, Julia. Though I don't know if there is any reason to thank us. It's we that are privileged to get to show your art here.
Jacob

Well, you guys have ALOT of really good art on your site already so I guess i'm just happy to be on there with all those other talented people. I just emailed my parents and told them I'm the "featured artist" at wotism.net :) I'm sure they'll be happy :)

Jacob,
Someone female, I can't remember who, popped into the wotmania chat and mentioned this place. I was once (still am; always will be) a wotist (under a different name, which is unimportant) so I decided to come by and check the place out.
The person who came by wotmania chat said she was the housekeeper of wotism.net chat or somesuch. That's the best I can do to identify her.
Finally, I remember you very well Jacob.

Hiya,
Reading through all your posts, I've realised I'm VERY new at all of this. I started reading WOT books only this year (after a friend referred them to me), and really only starting using the internet last year.
I got bored one night and put 'Wheel of Time' into the search engine, just to see what might be out there, and eventually found myself here. I actually posted on what you refer to as the 'old wotism board' and then saw that there was a new site, so I came here.
I read a lot of books, generally fantasy, but haven't been as hooked on a series as I've become with WOT. I think that's because the story is so 'rounded', it has such substance - from descriptions of the countryside, to the current political situation, and the characters having their good points as well as their flaws.

i remember you too, magatsu
speaking of old wotists, anyone remember ahl'issa and Cenn b., or Mati, or know where they went? those are three of the earliest wotists i remember from the .org and the email list.

wow, older wotists coming back. This is sooo cool. I definitly remember you julia...and I may remember the name dmxreborn...but not sure...I used to remember so much...I should have written a wotism memoir, cause soon I won't remember anything. Well, I guess I can just ask jacob...that is, if it happened while he was there. Which, I guess includes most of wotism history.

I'm kinda suprised anyone remebered me. I'm so honored. I wonder what ever happened to Easing the Badger. I alway's thought that was the coolest name. I talk to you once in the chat room nato, I was very honored to talk to the man who brought me the wonderful web site Wotism.org. I used to go visit every once and awhile but stopped posting cause since I didn't know when I would be online again i didn't think it would be proper to post.

Hi Nato!!! I think i might remember Cenn B. and Mati, vaguely. And Jacob - I think you were posting at wotism.org when I was? I finally noticed your name on the front page of this site and realized i recognized it :) It's hard to keep track of all the people i meet online though - does anyone else have that problem?

We know who that female person is:-) And now I'm curious...asto what you're call name on the old wotism board was. Actually though, I have an idea. It was a name that war quite difficult to pronounce, I believe...
Yea, I was posting on the .org while you were, Julia. I can understand abit the problem about keeping track of people though. Especially pseudonyms, I find those often impossible to remember. And maybe I should admit, the way my mind works, female names DO tend to stick in my mind easier than male ones.
I don't know what happend to Ahl'issa. Maybe someone here kept in touch with her? I know that she used to talk to SOMEONE more than others. Cenn B. and Mati post on the warvets page on and off, I believe. Now, don't ya all rush off and not come back (promise!?), but you can find that page through a link on the main page of the said, in case you've missed it.
I got bored one night and put 'Wheel of Time' into the search engine, just to see what might be out there, and eventually found myself here.
One variation of another of that is how it happend to all of us at different times, I think. You are "new", but in many way's, being a newbie is simply a state of mind. Don't you go run away from us just because some here have known each other for a long time!
:-)

Hahaha, LOL! Yeah, pseudonyms are hard - that's why i don't use pseudonyms myself. I would never remember my own name :D

I dunno ... Ulk seems pretty scary from where I'm standing. :D
Who is the fastest in the world now? Surely not another from Canada?
Min Farshaw
29th August 2001, 18:52
Yes another Canadian i do believe :P
The only reason he's in your heart is that he ran away too fast for you to catch, Ulk :) Just make sure you're wearing a steel-reinforced belt around him, Litefoot :)

Of course a Canadian would believe that  I remember a discussion I had once a few years back with five (5) Canadian exchange students who ALL claimed that Canada was the largest country in the world. I tried futily for days to persuade them that they had gotten it wrong but they wouldn't give in until I showed them a world map with all the countries and a list of how large all the countries were etc.
Dinner was on them the next day:-)
